Artis Foundation
Programmes Coordinator
Artis are the creative learning specialists. They want to see a world enriched by the arts by making creative interventions accessible to all children across England. Artis's focus is delivery within schools based in areas of high deprivation.
In this role I am responsible for school care and ensuring that delivery is of the highest standard, ensuring maximum impact and benefit to the children we work with. I am also responsible for small trusts and foundations fundraising, social media and email marketing, one off projects and programme evaluation.
In 2024, Artis was selected as a pro bono client of BrandPie, launching a new brand, mission, vision, and values. I was responsible for social media content creation, planning and scheduling as part of the rebrand process.
Forget-me-not Chorus
Calon Chorus Coordinator
Forget-me-not Chorus brings the joy of singing to people living with dementia, and those who support them. With a number of community, care home, hospital and virtual choirs taking place across the UK (and the globe!), the mission of FMNC is to share music as a tool for igniting joy into the lives of those touched by this ruthless disease.
Calon Chorus is FMNC's choir for those who have been bereaved after caring for a loved one living with dementia. My role is to facilitate the sessions, providing a friendly face when people arrive, creating a safe space for conversation at the break in the rehearsal, and performing the necessary tasks behind the scenes to make the session a success.

Scheduling Coordinator and Administrator
My previous role at FMNC was to manage the scheduling of the choirs - booking freelance staff to lead and accompany sessions and ensure the whereabouts of technical equipment for the choirs to take place. I also dealt with contracts and remittance advice for freelance music staff, as well as varying administrative tasks including content creation, digital marketing, research and development and copyright.
National Trust
Programming & Partnerships Officer
Working at Dyffryn Gardens in the Vale of Glamorgan, I spent 6 months helping to develop a programme of events to increase visitor traction and engagement from the property's local community.
In Summer 2022 I ran a successful series of outdoor concerts named 'Summer Music Nights' where local talent came to perform for the visitors of the gardens. Performers included Ragsy, The Gentlemen Songsters Male Voice Choir, and Kat Rees & Josh Lascar Jazz Duo.
I also put together and ran three seasonal trails for spring, summer, and autumn, working in collaboration with the head gardener to point out seaonsal aspects of the gardens at each point in the year.
My final months at Dyffryn were spent planning the Christmas 2022 offer, producing postcard moments from well known Christmas scenes as installations in the gardens.
Operasonic
Lullaby Project Manager
Operasonic are a community music charity based in and working for the people of Newport, South Wales.
I managed the Cardiff based Lullaby Project in partnership with Arts Active. We delivered six songwriting sessions to four communities of new parents in Llanedeyrn, Canton, Riverside & Adamsdown, reaching young families, bi- and multi-lingual families, and parents who came to the UK as refugees. We worked in partnership with Barnardos, Glenwood Church, South Riverside Community Development Centre and the Welsh Refugee Council to deliver the project with four freelance songwriters.
The project culminated in a sharing event where the lullabies that had been written were recorded as keepsakes for the parents who took part.
There was also a fine art project running alongside the songwriting with a local artist who produced bespoke prints based on the songs that the parents had written.
The Body Hotel
Arts Management Officer & Project Manager: Moving Respite
The Body Hotel provides workshops, training and professional development programmes that prioritise movement and the arts as key elements of health and wellbeing.
My role at The Body Hotel was to provide support in marketing, fundraising and administration including website maintenance, bookings and customer support.
In summer 2022 I project managed the delivery of the inaugral Moving Respite project, aimed at NHS staff in the Cwm Taff Morgannwg Health Board. I managed the booking system, participant communications, evaluation processes, and participant engagement. This project was more focused on the medical side of wellbeing, so was a great experience in gaining insight on handling sensitive data and measuring tangible health benefits for participants.
Together with Music
Regional Connector for Wales
Together with Music is an intergenerational programme created to encourage and inspire community connections by connecting older adults with primary school children to experience music.
My role was to manage the delivery of the project in Wales, facilitating partnerships between primary schools and care homes to enable them to share music.
The challenge in this role was creating lasting relationships between children and adults in a safe environment during the COVID-19 pandemic. The majority of the project was delivered online through zoom calls and sharing of videos and written resources.
The funding came to an end for my role in February 2022, but I have managed to stay in touch with some care homes and primary schools who still have thriving relationships.
Anthem. Music Fund Wales
Research & Development Intern
Anthem supports young people in Wales to make, learn and celebrate music, and to experience the life-changing benefits that brings. They do this through funding projects that allow access to music for young people and advocating for the importance of music in the lives of young Welsh creatives.
My role at Anthem was R&D for a potential record label enabling young Welsh artists to have their music recorded and distributed. The aim would be to promote talent within Wales, and disrupt the music industry's heavy London focus. Across 3 months with Anthem I developed a portfolio of research and findings which was then presented to Anthem's board of trustees and CEO for them to develop into a further business plan.
National Open Youth Orchestra
Research & Development Intern
The National Open Youth Orchestra (NOYO) is a pioneering inclusive orchestra where brilliant 11-25 year-old disabled and non-disabled musicians rehearse and perform together. It promotes inclusion by performing exciting music written and arranged for a diverse group of musicians and instruments. It also works with venues to produce accessible concerts.
My role at NOYO was to perform R&D for the opening of a new Welsh centre at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff. I conducted interviews with teachers, students and community groups to better understand how NOYO could support disabled and non-disabled musicians to perform together in the Welsh landscape.
